Joe Critchley

Joe is a software engineer in the UK, living on the peninsula of the Lake District. He first laid eyes on HTML when he was 12, when he was taught how to use Microsoft FrontPage by a German exchange student, along with other nostalgia... like how to upload it to Freewebs, and what a smiley was :). He landed his first proper job as a web designer/developer at 16.

Two decades, several agencies, and one business later, Joe is proud to be working with Planet Argon as a lead full-stack engineer. He loves everything from crafting a design system in Figma to deploying large-scale AWS infrastructure, with lots of TypeScript in between.

During his downtime, Joe likes hiking, movie marathons, and FPS games... and playing with pugs Otto & Mabel.
