Olivia Halfen

Olivia was born in Germany and quickly thereafter made her way across the pond to Tennessee. A decade and a half after moving to the south, Olivia reluctantly made her way out to Oregon. While she claims she severely disliked the state at first and made many attempts to leave, these days, one couldn’t pull her away from the place she loves and calls home. Even though she is an Oregonian to the core, if you catch her in the right light and the right time of day, you may or may not hear a hint of a southern twang…

Olivia has been honing her project management skills way before she realized that not everyone was as overtly organized and particular about the way they sort and stack their mail. Some have claimed that Olivia’s project management skills were rightly evident at an early age, at a time when she was managing her and her sister’s Lego building and Barbie playing escapades. Olivia spearheaded all afternoon playing initiatives whilst providing her sister with strict orders and expectations the entire way. 30+ years later and her sister still calls her “chief”.

Olivia has enjoyed spending the last 8 years managing everything from software installations for hotels, document and website localization projects, marketing campaigns, eLearning courses and applications, to camping trips and most importantly, her daily trips to the grocery store.

Outside of organizing projects at Planet Argon, Olivia loves to spend her weekends skiing, mountain biking, and pretending to kiteboard in Hood River while at the same time dreaming about wandering the streets of Paris.

The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!
