Jr. Ruby on Rails Developer
Growing up in New York City, Jasmine was exposed to so many different cultures and lifestyles from an early age, quickly becoming curious about everything in the world around her. From that curiosity, she studied International Relations during her undergraduate studies. Jasmine became a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholar, which afforded her the opportunity to live abroad and travel the great wide world.
Jasmine’s curious nature, and tendency to ask a lot of questions, led her to discover web development, and immediately she fell in love. She utilized the power of social media and built a community of people who helped guide her on her journey of becoming a self-taught Ruby on Rails developer. It wasn’t long before she discovered she enjoyed problem-solving and working with databases. From then on, Jasmine knew a career in programming was what she wanted to pursue.
When she’s not programming, you can find her at the beach on a surfboard, underwater scuba diving, or watching crime documentaries on Netflix. If she isn’t doing one of those activities, she’s probably somewhere at a baseball game or watching a game from season’s past, anxiously awaiting the start of a new season.
The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.
